HERSHEY - Syracuse recruit B.J. Johnson popped in 22 points and Lower Merion knocked off two-time defending state champ Chester 63-47 in the PIAA Class AAAA boys' basketball championship game Saturday night before a packed houe in the Giant Center.
The Aces, who won their third PIAA crown, snapped Chester's 78-game win streak against PIAA competition, and denied the Clippers a third state title in a row.
The game changed in the second quarter, when Chester guard Darius Robinson limped off with a leg injury and did not return.
Lower Merion then went on a 16-6 run and led 28-20 at the break.

Had the cam rolling when Lower Merion's players received their gold medals, and when the Aces lifted the gold state-championship trophy. It was a wild scene in the Giant Center, as the players shared the fun with their fans and classmates. A lot of happy Aces in this video. Take a look.
