The rematch boys' lacrosse fans have wanted to see was officially booked Monday night after Carlisle delivered a 14-6 win over Mechanicsburg at John H. Frederick Field.
Matt Quattrone scored four goals and Max Breschi added three for Carlisle (14-1, 11-1), which clinched the Mid-Penn Commonwealth title and a berth in Thursday's Mid-Penn championship game opposite Hershey.
The Trojans rallied past Carlisle 8-7 (OT) on Apr. 25 and the much anticipated rematch will faceoff at 7 p.m. Thursday at Landis Field.
Carlisle, which also got two goals apiece from Luke Brevik and Chris Fowler, posted seven goals in the opening quarter and the host Wildcats were never able to recover.
Dean Patton and Kyle Troyer led Mechanicsburg with two goals apiece.
BISHOP McDEVITT 10, CHAMBERSBURG 9 (OT): Nick Suknaic scored four goals, including the winner in overtime for the host Crusaders. McDevitt trailed 8-6 at the half before scoring three unanswered goals in the third quarter to take a 9-8 advantage. The Trojans, however, were able to tie the game in the fourth quarter and force overtime.
