After the regular season, the league tournament and the district tournament, there are now just two L-L League boys' tennis players still alive in the state tournament.
Manheim Central's doubles duo of Josh Kaiser and Colin Wolgemuth punched their tickets to the PIAA Class AAA semfinals on Friday with a pair of victories at Hershey Racquet Club.
All the other L-L League singles and doubles players were elimated on Friday, including L-L League and District 3 singles champ Derek Hagino from Hempfield and L-L League and District 3 runner-up Darren Mast from Conestoga Valley.
In Class AAA singles ...
* Hagino fell to District 1 third-seed Brian Grodecki from Conestoga 7-5, 6-2.

* Mast, who lost to Hagino in the league and district singles finals, fell to District 10 champ Nicholas Ward from Erie Cathedral Prep 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
In Class AAA doubles ...
* Kaiser and Wolgemuth, the District 3 champs, topped T.J. Morgan and Andrew Lehr, the District 3 third-seeds from Radnor, 6-4, 6-4 in the first round. In the quarterfinals, Kaiser and Woglemuth dropped Parkland's Egor Ivanov and Nicholad Kshatri, the District 11 champs, 6-4, 6-1. Kaiser and Wolgemuth are set to take on the District 7 champs, Alok Nimgaonkar and Chrs Grubbs from Shadyside Academy, on Saturday at 11 a.m.
* Nimgaonkar and Grubbs knocked off Hempfield's Tommy Athey and Nate Martinez, the District 3 third-seeds, 6-4, 6-1 in a first-round match.
In Class AA doubles ...
* Adam Bahney's and Galen McNaughton's excellent ride has ended. The Elco duo, who both had standout singles and doubles seasons, fell to District 2 champs Keller McGurrin and Peter Kazmierczak from Scranton Prep 7-5, 6-4 in the first round.
