Central Dauphin, Hempfield players highlight District 3 Class AAA boys' volleyball all-star list

LANCASTER - The Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association has weighed in with their District 3 all-stars, with three players apiece from district champ Hempfield and district runner-up Central Dauphin highlighting the list.

Eleven players were named to the first team and 10 players were named to the second team.

Royce Clemens, 6-1 junior outside hitter, Central York 
Mitch Stahl, 6-9 senior outside hitter, Chambersburg
Corbin Keller, 6-3 senior outside hitter, Exeter
Garret Dimm, 6-1 senior outside hitter, Hempfield
Mitch Gregg, 5-9 senior libero, Hempfield
Russel Kreider, 5-11 senior opposite hitter, Lower Dauphin
Colby Weit, 6-4 senior middle blocker, Warwick
Alex Palmatier, 6-5 senior middle blocker, Wilson
SECOND TEAM
Nick Vereb, 5-11 senior setter, Central Dauphin
Alex Klunk, 6-2 junior middle blocker, Central York
Keith Kegerreis, 6-5 junior middle blocker, Chambersburg
Tom D'ancy, 6-5 senior opposite hitter, Cumberland Valley
Kyle Brignall, 6-4 senior outside hitter, Dallastown
Ben Nauman, 6-1 sophomore opposite hitter, Hempfield
Ryan Santos, 6-5 junior opposte hitter, Exeter
Devon Reis, 6-5 senior opposite hitter, Penn Manor
Dawon Funk, 6-1 sophomore setter, Penn Manor
Gavin Schaffer, 6-6 junior opposite hitter, Warwick

Dimm, Gregg and Nauman helped Hempfield win Section 1, L-L League and District 3 championships before the Knights were knocked out by Pennsbury in the PIAA state semifinals.

Donahue, Kerschner and Vereb helped Central Dauphin to a runner-up finish in the District 3 tournament, and helped the Rams reach the state semifinals for the second year in a row, where CD fell to North Allegheny.
