It took a late-inning rally but Harrisburg's RBI softball team joined their baseball brothers in finishing 4-0 during pool play. And now the reigning two-time Mid-Atlantic Regional champions will angle for a three-peat Sunday after taking down Baltimore (16-1) and Philadelphia (3-0) on Saturday.
Following Harrisburg's lopsided win over outmatched Baltimore, A Jasmine Yanich one-out single got the host side in motion against Philly in the sixth.
Yanich eventually beat the throw to second on Vanessa Hoffman's fielder's choice, then snapped a scoreless tie by scoring on Cassidy Pinchorski's RBI double.
Seconds later, Emily Mattes followed a walk to Meghan Kisela with a sacrifice fly to right. Yanich added an insurance run in the seventh after she swiped second, advanced on an overthrow, and posted Harrisburg's final tally when Rubie Tefeteller's hot shot to third was misplayed.
Kisela fired five sterling innings, surrendering just one hit. Reliever Lexus Allen earned the save via three strikeouts.
Harrisburg will face Philadelphia for the regional title at 11 a.m. Sunday at Veterans Park.
