MANHEIM - When is a 9-win-season kind of a bummer?

When you're coming off a state championship but you don't win a section title or a district championship, let alone go back to the PIAA playoffs.

Welcome to Lancaster Catholic's world.

The Crusaders won a state Class AA crown in 2011 before moving up to Section 1 and to Class AAA last fall.

Lancaster Catholic went 9-4 overall, but finished behind Wilson in the section race and fell to eventual champ Bishop McDevitt in the district semifinals.

Then the Crusaders lost some studs to graduation, including the league's all-time leading rusher, Kent State recruit Roman Clay.

But don't fret, Lancaster Catholic fans. The Crusaders have plenty back in the tank, and with a big - really big - offensive line, this team is loaded for another run.

LANCASTER CATHOLIC COUNTDOWN TO CAMP PREVIEW

Chatted with two of those trench kids - Ben Bauer and Thomas McIntyre - plus blue-chip receiver Charles Scarff at Media Day festivities in Manheim about the Crusaders' prospects and upcoming season. Take a look.
