Nailing down those top wideouts from year-to-year is a dicey proposition. West Perry’s Chase May, for example, lost his quarterback to graduation. He’s still a top-end wideout, but his production is tied to the guy chucking him the pill.
Cedar Cliff’s Jake Scott will get his opportunities after hauling in 66 balls for 22 yards shy of 1,000 last season.
Carlisle’s Bamasa Bailor is another example of the tide shifts from year-to-year at this position. After totaling more than 700 yards last season, he’s making the move to running back.
There’s some talent in the pool of returning guys, but it will take several weeks to sort out all the details in terms of chemistry and how offenses are progressing.
