Harrisburg senior running back and linebacker Robert Martin is out for the season.
Results of an MRI Friday morning revealed the Rutgers recruit did indeed tear the ACL in his right knee last Saturday in the season opener against Bishop McDevitt.
The 6-0, 195-pound Martin rushed for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior. He averaged a staggering 12.6 yards per carry and also had more than 100 tackles from his linebacker position.
A first-team Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State selection in 2012, Martin gave a verbal declaration to Rutgers in mid-June over West Virginia and Pitt.
