Bishop McDevitt and Susquehanna Twp. are riding high in the power rankings - (The Patriot-News file photo)

The penultimate edition of the District 3 Power Rankings have been released over at piaadistrict3.org and Bishop McDevitt looks to have solidified its top playoff seed.

There are more power rating points between the Crusaders and No. 2 West York than there are between West York and No. 14 West Perry. Is McDevitt that much better than the District 3-AAA crowd? We will find out.

Last week we wondered if Hershey was sweating about their playoff chances. A 47-28 win over then No. 4 Red Land dampened any worries. The Patriots, however, dropped seven slots to 11 and face No. 3 Susquehanna Twp. Friday.

One team that could miss out on postseason play is No. 19 East Pennsboro. Despite their emphatic 70-17 win over Camp Hill on Friday, the Panthers (6-3) need to beat Susquenita and hope for help.

The top 16 teams will qualify for the District 3-AAA playoffs.
