LANCASTER — Pretty safe to say that Penn Manor’s football team has had about enough of Wilson for 2013.
The Bulldogs closed out the Comets’ season last Friday night, compliments of a 27-0 whitewash win over Penn Manor in a District 3-AAAA quarterfinal on Wilson’s home turf in West Lawn.
The Bulldogs also beat the Comets earlier this season, 21-14, also at Wilson, in a Week 9 L-L Section 1 showdown game; Penn Manor needed a win that night to force a first-place tie with the Bulldogs with one week to go.
The Comets even jumped out to a 14-0 first-half lead before Wilson woke up, turned the screws defensively and rallied for a 21-14 victory.
Including the Bulldogs’ 27-0 playoff victory, Wilson is now 22-0 all-time against Penn Manor, including a pair of wins this season, the latter which sent the Comets home for good.
The good folks at llleaguesportsvidoes.com produced a highlight film of the Bulldogs’ victory in the district quarterfinals last Friday.
Shane Dantzler rushed for 148 yards and a TD, Jon Fox returned an interception for a TD, Hunter Rubright booted a pair of field goals — giving him 11 this season — and Wilson’s D was rock-solid, holding Penn Manor to just 113 total yards.
Here are the highlights from llleaguesportsvideos.com. Take a look:
