Back-door cuts: Struck hard during a commencement exercise that featured his first eight players in caps and gowns — including a number of multi-year starters — fifth-year skipper Conrad will be forced to field an inexperienced side in a nine-team league filled with veteran clubs and flush with talent. While that may seem more than a bit harsh in the short term, the highly capable Conrad encountered a similar situation when he arrived in Palmyra and eventually his Cougars wound up in a District 3-AAA title game and states. So the key words this time around in western Lebanon County are patience and more patience. They’ll get there.
