A relatively quiet night on the hardwood Monday, with just a handful of girls’ basketball games around the midstate.
Those might be the only games for a couple of days, with snow in the forecast for Tuesday. Stay tuned.
Some highlights from Monday’s action:
* Alex Siebecker scored 15 points and Annville-Cleona opened the game on a 15-0 run, led 32-3 at the half and topped Mount Calvary 49-10.
* Helene Reist popped in 16 points as Lebanon Catholic improved to 2-0 with a 41-19 victory over Veritas Academy. Coach Patti Hower’s roster includes a grand total of seven players, and just six players have appeared in the Beavers’ first two games.

* The trio of Michaela Gelbaugh (20 points), CaLee Gelbaugh (15 points) and Brittany Robinson (14 points) led the way for CD East, which knocked off Bethlehem Liberty 62-54 in the Panthers’ season opener.

* Monday's Susquenita at West Perry game was postponed because of the weather. They'll play Tuesday — weather permitting again — at 7:30 p.m. as part of a boys-girls doubleheader at West Perry.
