After three-plus days of voting, the preliminary round results are in for PennLive's 2014 Student Section Showdown.
Many thanks to all of you took who the time to cast your vote with us on PennLive. Since Monday, over 22,000 votes were cast in 10 preliminary round matchups as we pare down the field en route to crowning our first ever Student Section Showdown champion.
The votes have been tallied and the following student sections have won their preliminary round matchups: Lower Dauphin Falcon Nation (@LD_FalconNation), Mechanicsburg Maniacs (@Mashmaniacs14), Lebanon Catholic Beaver Nation (@BeaverNationLC), Warwick Warriors (@WHS_Section), Lebanon Cedar Nation (@Cedar_Nation), Ephrata Mountaineer Maniacs (@EphrataHighSS), Red Land Red Sea (@RLRedSea), Waynesboro Hoffman’s Homies (@Boroindians717), Millersburg Tribe (@BelieveInTribe) and Columbia Tidal Force (@TideStudentSec).
Those schools will join the Camp Hill Crazies (@CH_CRAZIES), Carlisle Crazies (@CarlisleCrazies), Cedar Cliff Golden Corral (@GoldenCorral1), Lancaster Catholic Crusader Crazies (@CrusaderCrazy), Northern Lebanon Blue Crew (@_BlueCrewNation) and Trinity Rock City (@THSRockCity) in the next round.
The round of 16 matchups and details on the next round will be revealed Friday. Keep in mind, the next round will involve more than just votes. It will also involve pictures and videos that you submit to PennLive.
