What better way to kick off “High School Sports Live's” wrestling coverage than District 3 heavyweight Cumberland Valley versus state power Central Dauphin?

These two mat titans will square off at 7 p.m. Thursday at Central Dauphin high school. PennLive.com will be showing the match in conjunction with ABC-27 as part of a jam-packed winter schedule.
The Eagles are ranked No. 8 in the state and feature seven individually ranked wrestlers according to papowerwrestling.com. The Rams were state dual-meet champions from 2008 through 2011 before slipping to third in 2012 and finishing second a year ago.
Dave Heckard's Eagles are led by state runner-ups Patrick Duggan (138) and TC Warner (160). The Rams, who are in the midst of a 72-match win streak against District 3 competition, have nine new starters in the lineup this season.
Still, the Rams boast standouts like Zach Elvin (132) and Garrett Peppelman (170) and up-and-coming Class AAA star Tyshawn White.
