ANNVILLE — Welcome to the club, Alex Siebecker.
It was a long week of basketball for Annville-Cleona’s senior — and her Little Dutchmen teammates, who played for the fourth times in five nights on Saturday.
But for Siebecker, she capped the long week in style.
The senior shooting guard plucked an offensive rebound, went back up in traffic and banked in a short shot with 6:14 to go in the first quarter Saturday night against Pine Grove for her 1,000th career point.
The Cardinals clipped the Dutchmen 45-37.
Siebecker became the eighth player in the history of Annville-Cleona’s girls’ basketball program to score 1,000 points.
And she joined her sister in the club; Victoria Siebecker, a 2012 grad, finished her career with the Dutchmen with 1,045 points.

The program’s all-time leading scorer is 1989 grad Paula Light, who had 1,646 points. She’s now an official in the L-L League.
Siebecker needed 15 points on Friday night against Garden Spot to hit the milestone, but the Spartans held her to 11 points in Garden Spot’s 44-19 victory.
She needed just 4 points against Pine Grove in a nonleague game Saturday to join the club, and it only took her 46 seconds to do it.
