An alley-oop dunk from Bishop McDevitt’s Milik Gantz to teammate Dyllon Hudson-Emory is about to get the national treatment from ESPN.
The viral video of Gantz’s incredible feed and Hudson-Emory’s one-handed flush will get a turn on the “Scott Van Pelt Show” on ESPN2 today at 2:55 p.m. EST, Bishop McDevitt athletic director Tommy Mealy said. It will be featured on a “day’s best” segment and likely later on SportsCenter, Mealy said.
The dunk was part of a blowout victory over Northeastern in the District 3-AAA tournament, which propelled the Crusaders to the championship quarterfinals. The highlight was captured by a local videographer who shared the video on his YouTube channel.
The play begins with a steal and fast-break and ends with a highlight-reel finish as Gantz goes through his legs on a dish to Hudson-Emory. The play brought down the house at McDevitt’s St. Sebastian Hall and was shared countless times on Facebook and Twitter.
Take a look for yourself at the 3:20 mark of the video below, or catch it on television on ESPN’s family of networks at points throughout the day.
