Welcome to the second — and final — day of the District 3-AA swimming championships.

PennLive will keep you updated with today’s race-by-race results from the Cumberland Valley natatorium.

The boys start at 10 a.m. and the girls will follow a little after noon.

The top two finishers automatically qualify for the PIAA meet.

Trinity has 176 points to lead the boys’ competition. York Suburban (110), Big Spring (107), Palmyra (100) and Schuylkill Valley (87) round out the top five.

Northern leads the girls’ competition with 182 points, followed by Palmyra, 152; York Suburban, 142.5; Schuylkill Valley 125 and Big Spring 107.

We will keep the latest results immediately after this introduction. If you’re looking for an earlier result, scroll down. Yesterday’s recap can be found here.

Boys

10:06 a.m.: 100 freestyle

District champion: Ian DiCarlo (Trinity), 47.77; 2. Zack Miklos (Lancaster Catholic), 48.30; 3. Danny Tunitis (Palmyra), 48.88; 4. David Foery (West York), 49.12; 5. tie Nicholas Boyd (Big Spring), 49.30; 5. tie. Adam Fox (Annville-Cleona), 49.30; 7. Jordan Lytle (Hanover), 49.36; 8. Lucas Haywood (Trinity), 49.41.

Quick hit: DiCarlo dropped .82 from his seed time and topped Miklos by more than half a second. Both automatically qualify for states. There was a tie for fifth between Boyd and Fox, but you wouldn't have noticed it from the swim. They were in different heats. Fox is the only swimmer outside of the last heat to place.

It was a quick start to the morning

9:59 a.m.: The national anthem has been sung and we are ready to start. The 100 free is on the blocks.
