Quarterback Stephen Sedesse passed for 219 yards and three touchdowns — including a pair of scores to home-run threat Owen Daniel that covered 22 and 79 yards — as the visiting Vikings (4-0, 3-0) upended Line Mountain at Mandata’s Glenn Ressler Field.
While Sedesse’s first toss to Daniel pulled Williams Valley into a 21-all tie with 1:47 left in the opening half, the second popped Tim Savage’s club in front with 4:45 to play in the third. Cole Barnhardt tacked on a 2-yard scoring plunge early in the fourth to give the Vikes a two-possession lead.
Daniel finished with six catches for 159 yards.
Cory Warford rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns, while backup QB Codi Morris hooked up with burner Jeremy Renn on a pair of long scoring passes (60, 56) for the Eagles (3-1, 2-1), whose 19-game winning streak dating back to the 2009 season was brought to an end.
