Trey Baker and Adam Newhard each rolled up 12 points, while Logan Stovall tacked on 10 as Palmyra side-stepped Annville-Cleona 54-46 in the final game of the Rhoades Foundation Classic at Lebanon Valley College.
Holding a tenuous 40-35 lead heading into the fourth quarter, Newhard buried a clutch trey at one point to create even more separation for a Palmyra club that knocked off unbeaten Susquehanna Twp. a night earlier at home.
And since Trinity awaits the Cougars (9-3) on Monday night -- that game will be locally televised -- Pete Conrad's club was glad to leave LVC with a hard-earned victory that ran a sparkling winning streak to six games.
