LANCASTER - It's time for a fresh L-L League boys' basketball power poll.
With the section races taking shape, I had to squeeze a sixth team in the top five this week.

The rankings ...
1. McCaskey (9-0, 12-2) - An even dozen wins in a row for the streaking Red Tornado. You want any part of this crew?
2. Donegal (9-0, 14-0) - The lone undefeated boys' team in the L-L League continues to keep on keeping on. And the Indians are back to 100 percent healthy with Matt Foltz (knee) back in the lineup.
3. Elizabethtown (9-0, 11-3) - Bears are back after a holiday hiccup with five wins in a row - and a commanding five-game lead over Cocalico in the Section 2 standings.
4. Northern Lebanon (6-3, 11-4) - White-hot Vikings have won eight of nine and feature the league's leading scorer, Sam Light, who torched Hamburg for 33 points in a non-league win on Saturday (on his birthday, no less). Hard to believe these guys are three full games behind Donegal - and a game behind Lampeter-Strasburg in Section 3.
5. Lancaster Catholic (7-2, 9-4) - Three wins in a row for the Crusaders, including a clutch 56-49 victory at Lancaster Mennonite on Wednesday, forcing a tie for the top spot in Section 4.
5. Lancaster Mennonite (7-2, 11-4) - Blazers have won six of seven, but the loss to Lancaster Catholic on Wednesday knocked them out of sole possession of first in Section 4. Should be a heck of a great finish in this race, considering Lebanon Catholic (6-3) is pounding on the door.
HONORABLE MENTION: Hempfield (6-3, 8-5), Lampeter-Strasburg (7-2, 9-5), Lebanon Catholic (6-3, 11-3), Manheim Township (5-4, 7-7).
