LANCASTER - Nick Nobile probably would have joined the 1,000-career-point club much earlier this season.
But when Columbia's senior multi-sport standout broke his wrist in the Crimson Tide's District 3 A playoff football game against Delone Catholic back in November, Nobile spent the first eight games of the basketball season sitting on the bench.
He's been his usual self since returning to the court, averaging 13 points in his 10 games.
And on January 15 at Northern Lebanon, Nobile joined a select club.
When he splashed a 3-pointer late in the game against the Vikings, Nobile joined the 1,000-point club.
He became the second L-L League boys' player to hit a grand this season, joining McCaskey's Devonne Pinkard.
Columbia's coaches were kind enough to send along video of Nobile scoring his milestone point.
