WHERE: 7 p.m., today, John H. Frederick Field
RECORDS: Hershey 4-2, 1-2 Mid-Penn Keystone; Mechanicsburg 3-3, 0-3.
THE TROJANS: Need to forget that one-sided scrape with Bishop McDevitt, and fast. First priority is cleaning up a defense that allowed more than 550 yards to those Crusaders. Here's where veterans like DTs Dom Giovanniello (57) and Andrew Nelson (59) have to weigh in. Will need playmakers Jesse Campbell (8) and Jailen Harmon (25) at full capacity, too.
THE WILDCATS: Doesn't it feel like Mechanicsburg has played a lot better than that 3-3 record indicates? We know the Keystone Division is lethal this season. It's a craps shoot each week, but the Cats still run full behind QB Tyler Schubert (9), RB Joe Hennessey (20) and versatile receivers Andrew Spanos (11) and Swahneek Brown (4). Can they tie it all together against a savvy opponent?
EPLER SAYS: From a competitive standpoint, this one ranks high on the weekend docket. And it may be time for Mechanicsburg (-2) to have the final say.
