STOVALL BUZZER-BEATER LIFTS PALMYRA PAST LOWER DAUPHIN: Logan Stovall nailed a desperate put-back at the buzzer for a 56-54 Mid-Penn Keystone win, dramatically ending for the host Cougars what had turned into a furious Falcons' comeback attempt. Palmyra's 54-40 lead with six minutes left evaporated, with Luke Rutledge (18 points) sinking a 3-pointer to tie it for LD with a minute to go. But on the final possession, Stovall, who finished with 16 points, saved Palmyra's bacon. Trey Baker added 12 and Brad Mackey 10 for the Cougars, who get a rematch with Susquehanna Twp. this Tuesday. They're still the only team to have beaten the Indians this season.

CEDAR CLIFF STUNS THE NO. 1 CLASS AA TEAM IN THE STATE: Clinging to District 3-AAAA playoff hopes, the Colts absolutely needed this victory over Meyers from Wilkes-Barre. And a huge second half comeback gave it to them, 64-62. Tyler Hoagland and Owen Shenk drained 3-pointers early in the third quarter to spark a rally that ultimately saw Cedar Cliff outscore the Mohawks, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA, 43-28 over the final 16 minutes. Hoagland (19) and forward Zack Galic (20) shared 39 points to lead the Colts, 13 of those coming in the third quarter. Still, Meyers led a 59-57 late in the game when Cliff's Nick Barowski scored a conventional three-point play to put the Colts back in front. Despite a late 3-pointer and 17 points from Ryan Krawczeniuk, the Mohawks (14-2) couldn't recover, and Cedar Cliff (8-10) pocketed some much-needed power points. Will it be enough to get them back into the playoff picture? We'll find out soon enough.
PERRY, EBERHARDINGER ENGAGE IN FURIOUS SCORERS' DUEL AS STEEL-HIGH ZIPS PAST YORK SUBURBAN: Mark Perry might have lost the scoring showdown by a point, but his Rollers still raced to their 15th straight win by cruising past the visiting Trojans 94-71. Perry finished with 36 points, 22 rebounds and 11 steals. Suburban's Evan Eberhardinger totaled 37 points, including five 3-pointers. Steel-High also popped Dee'quan Fleming (21) and Mikohl Jenkins (10) into double figures.
CHAMBERSBURG, CARLISLE WINS HIGHLIGHT PA-MD SHOWCASE EVENT AT GETTYSBURG: Chambersburg turned an eight-point deficit with four minutes left into an eight-point win, 57-49, over Western Tech (Md.) in the opener of al all-day Pennsylvania vs. Maryland Showcase at Gettysburg High School. Two Mitch Stahl free throws with 2 minutes left put Chambersburg in front to stay in the opener of the PA-MD event at Gettysburg. Kellen Williams led three Trojans in double figures with 14 points. Stahl totaled nine points, eight boards and five assists. ... Later, Carlisle awoke after a slow start to down Hereford (Md.) 61-44. J.D. Hughes sparked it by scoring 10 of his 12 points in the second quarter, and Jerome Evans brought it home by scoring all 13 of his points in the second half. Jordan Dockens spread out his game-high 16 points. ... The host Warriors fell 51-39 to Poolesville (Md.). Trey Thomas (15 points) and Gettysburg led by a point into the fourth quarter, but the visitors from down south exploded for 26 points in the final frame to steal this one.
WITHOUT ITS AILING COACH, BIBLE BAPTIST KNOCKS OFF HARRISBURG CHRISTIAN: The host Bobcats rode double-doubles from forwards Mitch Raup (15 points, 15 rebounds) and Paul Hill (15 points, 12 rebounds) to a 51-41 victory over Harrisburg Christian, moving a half-game ahead of idle Mount Calvary atop the CCAC West standings. A rematch with the Chargers comes Tuesday night. Bible Baptist continues to play without head coach Lowell Kratzer, who's in the hospital with complications from a recent surgery. Assistant Joel Griffiths is serving as the interim head coach as the Bobcats march toward the postseason. For the Knights, Connor Shroyer scored 24 points.

ELSEWHERE...: Greencastle-Antrim popped Mid-Penn Colonial foe Shippensburg 59-56 behind 15 points from Zach Faulkner. ... Greenwood ran its winning streak to 16 games and remained unbeaten in the Tri-Valley League with a 61-28 romp over Juniata. Tyler Fegley and Ryan Kerstetter combined to score 19 of the Wildcats' 27 points in the second quarter, Fegley finishing with a game-high 16. ... Lebanon breathed life into its fading District 3-AAAA playoff hopes by winning 45-38 in overtime over Milton Hershey at the Spartan Center. Drey Murray scored six of his team's 11 points in overtime. He finished with a game-high 15 points. Milton Hershey made a dramatic comeback in the fourth quarter to force OT, rallying from 11 points down. Tariq Bennett and Ron Adams scored 10 each for the Spartans. ... Playing at neutral Big Spring to cut travel times, East Pennsboro rolled Waynesboro in the second half to secure this 64-51 Mid-Penn crossover victory. Ben Barley scored 15 of his 23 points after halftime, when East Penn trailed 32-23. ... Grant Strawoet's career-best 29 points carried James Buchanan past Littlestown 64-53. ... TVL entries Lancaster Country Day (50-37 to Hamburg) and Newport (47-29 to Tri-Valley) lost non-league contests.
