LANCASTER - Adam Haas had three rushing touchdowns, Garden Spot jumped out to a 27-7 lead at the half, and the Spartans improved to 7-0 on Saturday with a 35-21 non-league victory over Pius X in Bangor.
Garden Spot feasted on six turnovers, including four fumble recoveries, and joined Penn Manor as the lone undefeated teams in the L-L League.
The Spartans are 3-0 and alone in first place in the Section 3 race.
Against the Royals, Haas had a 5-yard TD run and a 14-yard TD run in the first half, and his 2-yard TD plunge capped the scoring in the fourth quarter.
In between, Garden Spot's Austin Haas returned a fumble 20 yards for a score and Mitch Martin had a 29-yard TD strike to Tanner Reed, as the Spartans piled up 307 total yards and 14 first downs, while holding Pius X (2-5) to 198 yards - just 52 on the ground.
Garden Spot hosts Northern Lebanon next Friday at 7 p.m.
