LANCASTER - Lebanon senior Evan Zimmerman, who knocked down 28 3-pointers and helped the Cedars to a second-place finish in the L-L League Section 2 race this past season, has committed to Wesley College in Dover, Delaware.
The Wolverines compete in the Capital Athletic Conference along with York, Marymount (Virginia), Frostburg State, Mary Washington, Salisbury and St. Mary's (Maryland).
Wesley went 9-3 in the conference and 20-8 overall this past season under coach Jerry Kobasa.
In his senior season for Lebanon, Zimmerman popped in 6.1 points per game as the Cedars went 9-7 in league games and 13-10 overall, including a 60-47 setback to eventual state final-four finisher Donegal in the first round of the L-L League playoffs.
Zimmerman was at his best on January 22; in Lebanon's 46-40 win over Conestoga Valley, he scored a season-high 17 points and dropped five 3-pointers.
Zimmerman had a fast finish, averaging 9.6 points with 12 3-pointers in his final five games, as Lebanon finished the regular season with an 8-game winning streak to capture second place in Section 2.
