LANCASTER - The L-L League basketball officials will present four senior players with Basketball Officials Scholarship Awards at the officials annual banquet on Monday in Paradise.
Solanco's Gillian Glackin, Cocalico's Zach Rissler and Columbia classmates Jenna Plastino and Nick Nobile will receive $1,000 scholarships.
The awards are funded from the proceeds of the annual Tim Bartholomew Memorial Basketball Shootout.
This year's Bartholomew Shootout, in honor of the late L-L League referee, is set for May 17-18 at Ephrata High School, Ephrata Middle School and Ephrata Rec Center.

* Glackin was the L-L League's leading scorer, averaging 20.0 points for Solanco. The low-post threat finished her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,392 points, and she was a PennLive.com First-Team All-Star and Section 2 MVP.

* Plastino started all four seasons for Columbia, and she capped her career with a solid season, averaging 17.2 points with 25 3-pointers, earning PennLive.com First-Team All-Star honors. Plastino finished her career with 1,075 points. Plastino will attend Penn State.

* Rissler was a key cog for a Cocalico team that went 8-8 in league games and 12-11 overall. The Eagles just missed out on a league playoff spot, and fell to league foe Lampeter-Strasburg in a District 3 Class AAA play-in game. Rissler, a multi-sport standout for Cocalico, averaged 4.0 points, including a season-high 14 against Lebanon on January 29. Also a football standout, Rissler was a First-Team All-Star pick at defensive end and a Second-Team All-Star selection at offensive tackle last fall, when he helped Cocalico win the Section 2 championship. Rissler will attend Temple.
* Like Plastino, Nobile was a four-year contributor to Columbia's program. After missing the first eight games this past season while recovering from a broken wrist, Nobile ended up averaging 15.0 points while knocking down 15 3-pointers. He was a Second-Team PennLive.com All-Star and finished his career with 1,153 points. Nobile will attend West Chester.
