Fresh off a loss to Manheim Township, the Hershey Trojans boys' lacrosse team rebounded with a convincing 16-2 win over the visiting Trinity Shamrocks on Tuesday.

With both teams looking to remain unbeaten in the Mid-Penn, it was Hershey which prevailed.

Hershey's talented attack-men were successful many times, with Joe Clark leading the scoring with five goals and three assists.

George Briggs had four goals and three assists and Logan Calhoun had three goals and two assists for the Trojans. Midfielder Steve Onorato had two goals and fellow midfielders Matthew Stewart and Jake Wilson each chipped in one goal.

The Shamrocks offense was only successful early with Connor Bailey scoring the first goal unassisted. The Hergenroeder brothers connected 3 minutes later, with the younger Mark feeding his brother Dave for the second goal.

After that, Hershey's defense and goalkeeper Kyle Kondracki frustrated Trinity's attack for the rest of the afternoon. Kondracki ended the day with 13 saves.

Trinity's defense was able to combine for 12 takeaways and keep Army-bound David Sickler away from the net.

Trinity will host visiting Carlisle on Thursday.
