Cedar Cliff 9, Mifflin County 3: Huskies lefty Seth Wagner collected 13 strikeouts over five innings, although it hardly deterred Cedar Cliff from picking up its ninth win of the season. Alex LaFaver plated three runs and Stephen McKee went 3-for-5, lending complete-game winner Jackson Pettis all the support he would need. Pettis fired a seven-hitter with three strikeouts. Noah Malone added two RBIs for the Colts. Lucas Mckay (3-for-3) paced the Huskies.
Cumberland Valley 6, Carlisle 4: Hunter Schryver singled in the third and homered in the fifth for CV, which used a combined five-hitter by starter Matt Ober and Mike Adams to fend off the Herd. Ober fanned three over five innings. Kole Aumiller added a two-run single in CV's three-run fifth. Ryan Borowski and Nate Marks collected two hits apiece for Carlisle.
KESYTONE
Hershey 8, Bishop McDevitt 4: The Trojans struck late, picking up three runs in the fourth and sixth innings to prevail. Eric Marrero (3-for-3) and Jesse Campbell shared four RBIs while Kevin Kremer chipped in two hits and a pair of runs scored. Two RBIs apiece by Alex Repa and Drew Myers helped the Crusaders jump out to a 4-0 lead in the first. Soon after, Hershey starting pitcher Tim Edwards settled in, sharing a four-hitter with Marrero.
Mechanicsburg 10, Susquehanna Twp. 9: Zach Ross drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth as Mechanicsburg roared back from a 9-3 fourth-inning deficit. Collin Farnham (3-for-4) and Parker Beatty (two RBIs) and Ben Dubas (2-for-4) all weighed in during the furious comeback. Farnham, who opened the Wildcats eighth with a single and scored the game-winning run, scored three times. Dallas Rivera's 3-for-4 effort and two hits by Reid Demyan led the Indians.
Middletown 13, Harrisburg 2: The Blue Raiders took advantage of five Harrisburg errors and the stickwork of Brett Altland and Nick Drawbaugh. Altland and Drawbaugh each slapped two hits and pushed across a pair of runs in the five-inning win. Jordan Flowers picked up the decision.
CAPITAL
West Perry 3, Northern 2: The Mustangs picked up win No. 19 and added another Mid-Penn Capital Division title to their resume. The win, aided by another strong performance by pitcher Ben Dum, secured a bid to Monday's MPC Tournament semifinals against the eventual Commonwealth rep. Dum styled a five-hitter with six strikeouts, earning the win after West Perry plated three fifth-inning runs on an error and two squeeze bunts. Ryan Schreiber fanned six in the loss.
Trinity 8, Susquenita 5: The Shamrocks got the hit they needed in extra innings as Alex Bates cracked a three-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the eighth. Bates and Brett Stoey both went 3-for-4, handing Andrew Shillingsworth the win. Shillingsworth did his part, surrendering just three hits in six blue-collar innings of relief. Two hits apiece by Andy Speck and Chris King helped push across five Susquenita runs in the first two innings.
Camp Hill 8, East Pennsboro 4: Kyle Remig led the Lions attack with three hits and Michael Hope survived eight East Pennsboro hits over four frames. Nick Marquart added two hits, and Robbie Thompson two runs, as Remig struck out seven before giving way to Chad Bronson in the fifth.
COLONIAL
Boiling Springs 4, Big Spring 1: Bubblers pitcher Colin Hayes stretched the distance and battery mate Tristan Strohecker cracked a two-run single. Hayes scattered seven hits, including three by Hunter Kotzmoyer, to outduel Bulldogs ace Kyler Brown. Colin Frownfelter added a pair of hits for Boiling Springs.
TRI-VALLEY
East Juniata 6, Line Mountain 1: Dalton Rowe belted a two-run homer and Jesse Watts chipped in two RBIs. EJ starting pitcher Ryan Stuck took a perfect game into the sixth before Nick Lorenz mopped up. Stuck fanned one. Jeremy Renn (2-for-3) and Kellan Masser accounted for all three of Line Mountain's hits.
LANCASTER-LEBANON
Lebanon 2, Northern Lebanon 1: An Orlando Gonzalez sac fly scored Mike Medero with the ninth-inning difference. Medero also picked up the victory in relief of starter Mark Pyles, the latter surrendering just four hits over seven workmanlike innings. Pyles also was Lebanon's lone multiple hitter, going 2-for-4. Drew Bene's two hits led the Vikings.
