In a game that was important for both teams, the CD Rams used a 5 goal last quarter surge to overcome the Trinity Shamrocks at COBO Field. Elijah Hudson ( 1 goal, 2 assists) scored first, shortly followed by Nate Beard ( 3 goals, 1 assist).
The Shamrocks answered back with Dave Hergenroeder taking control of the CD defense with 3 goals in the first half, 1 asisted by John Miller ( 2 assists). The go ahead goal was assited by Defenseman Tim Hickey ( 1 assist). The Senior Captian had a total of 4 goals for the night and with his brother Mark Hergenoreders' ( 1 goal) help , the Home Shamrocks were up 4-3 at halftime.
He was able to find the cage again in the third period with a nice assist by Kyle Scott ( 1 assist) , but CD answered back with a pair of goals by Beard and when Austin Rose collected a pass from Elijah Hidson ( 1 goal 2 assists), the Rams had a slim 1 goal lead going in to the last quarter.
The 4 th period belonged to CD with goals from Rose, Justin Koppenhaffer ( 2 goals), Chance Muncavage ( 1 goal), and Brock Oliver ( 1 goal).
Both Jeremy Larkin and Karl Dickey had 8 saves.
