Running back Bill Williams is making an immediate difference in the Camp Hill offense.
Freshmen are not normally high-impact players, but this first-year dynamo for the Lions has been a difference maker. And Camp Hill coach Frank Gay was quietly touting the potential of his young running back in the preseason.
Now we know why.
So with 340 of 762 votes cast, Williams is the PennLive Week 2 Superstar. The freshman claimed the top spot over CD East running back Chase Edmonds (141 votes).
In a 30-26 victory over Shippensburg, Williams rushed 23 times for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also caught a pair of passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. That’s 200 total yards on 25 touches.
Through two games, Williams has 309 rushing yards and 115 receiving yards with six total touchdowns.
