Each Monday during the football season, members of the Pennlive.com prep football coverage team will pass out three game balls to deserving gridiron athletes. So without further ado....

1 Tristan Robb, FB, Big Spring: Last week, we opened the festivities with Big Spring QB Garrett Chestnut. Now we're targeting the guy who lines up right behind him, fullback Robb. Keep in mind the Bulldogs opened the 2012 campaign with five straight losses and eventually finished 1-9. This season, new head coach Mike Berry and his gang are off to a 2-0 start, thanks in part in Robb's performance against Susquenita. The sophomore rambled for 153 yards on 22 attempts. Robb's 5-yard TD blast pulled the Bulldogs within a point with 4:27 to go.

2 Shamon Walker, QB, Milton Hershey: Remember those days when it was vital information talk about the Spartans exacting ground game? We can even remember the conversation when skipper Jeff Boger mentioned that he was abandoning the Wing-T in favor of a more wide-open attack. Well, Walker is running the Rocks spread and running it well. Against Kennard-Dale on Friday, the Spartans ace led his side to 41 second-half points and a wild 54-20 win on the road. Walker bested the Rams to the tune of 10 of 21, 350 yards and four TDs, three in the third quarter alone. Stud Tre Brown was on the other end of three of those touchdown flips.

3 Chase Edmonds, RB, CD East: We know it's early, and skipper Aaron Blanding isn't about to let a few good weeks define a season. But doesn't it just feel like the Panthers are on a mission? After that opening week victory in Franklin County, CD East again leaned on Edmonds' slash-and-burn running style to take down Susquehanna Twp. on Friday at Speed Ebersole Stadium. The workhorse senior carried the rock 24 times and gobbled up 166 rushing yards with a pair of scores. The end result was a 25-21 victory and fresh 2-0 start to the season.
