It was a rainy, dreary night in Pottsville when the Mustangs took on the Crimson Tide.
The Mustangs struck first, when QB Jan Johnson bursted a 35 yard TD run early in the first quarter to give Mifflin a 7-0 lead.
Pottsville, one of the Berks I Divisons lower teams, came right back with a 26 yard pass by Keating for a TD. After a missed extra point, the score was 7-6.
When the first quarter horn sounded, the Mustangs found themselves only up by a point to the Crimson Tide.
After that, as usual, the Mustangs demolished any hope for Pottsville as they took the game by storm.
It was all Governor Mifflin from there on, holding Pottsville to no points the rest of the game while scoring 28 point themselves. Governor Mifflin got a 35-6 victory of Pottsville an advanced to a 5-0 Berks Section I record and a 6-2 overall record
