As expected, Governor Mifflin had no problem shutting out Twin Valley in Shillinton on Friday night.
On the first play from scrimmage for Governor Mifflin, Ryan Barbon ran the ball for a 67 yard TD.
That sparked a big first quarter from Governor Mifflin. They outscored Twin Valley 28-0 in the first quarter alone.
The Mustangs dominated the whole night, never to allow Twin Valley points of any kind. Points wasn't the only problem on the night for Twin Valley, as they only gained a total of 49 yards the whole night.
Twin Valley's QB went 0-3, with an interception and obviously no touchdowns.
On the winning side, Jan Johnson went 2-2, with 63 yards and a touchdown. Freshman QB Hunter Reeser got in for the first time this year. On his first pass as a varsity quarterback, he threw a 69 yard TD pass to Reid Hoff. Great way to start your varsity career, huh?
Ryan Barbon plowed through the Twin Valley D, racking up 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Governor Mifflin hosts Conrad Weiser next week in the final and biggst game of the regular season. The winner will be crowned the Berks Section I Division Champions.
