HS Lacrosse: March 25

Despite the snow on Tuesday, some local high school lacrosse teams were able to play their early season contests.

Below are the boys' results followed by the boys' top performers. After that are the girls' results and girls' top performers.

BOYS' LACROSSE

MID-PENN KEYSTONE - Standings

Northern York 9, Lower Dauphin 8

The Polar Bears scored with 1:58 remaining in overtime to defeat the Falcons. Northern had seven goals in the second quarter to take a 7-4 lead into halftime. Lower Dauphin scored twice in the fourth period to tie the game 8-8 and force overtime.

Central Dauphin 8, Palmyra 5

The Rams scored two goals in each period to defeat the Cougars. Carson Wolford scored three times for Central Dauphin. Sam Wasson made 11 saves for Palmyra.

Trinity 8, Cumberland Valley 5

State College 7, Mechanicsburg 2

Despite 20 saves by Wildcat goalie Joe Becker, Brady Frankis scored two goals and had one assist to lead State College to victory.
