When the season ended last year, Carlisle football players got together in agreement saying, either you are committed or involved. Involved players wouldn't change the culture, it would come down to a committed group working together. It would appear the committed group won everybody over. Through two games, Herd Quarterback Billy Burger has passed for 643 yards and 4 TDs. Deonte Ramsey has 15 catches for 385 yards and 2 TDs. The running game hasn't taken off as well as Head Coach Josh Oswalt hoped, but that would explain why the passing game has. Teams so far have challenged Burger to beat them with his arm and he has delivered. Five receivers have at least three receptions, and 6 players have carried the ball through two games. This current Herd team is a 4th down stop away from being 2-0. South Western invades Ken Millen Stadium this Friday for the home opener, it's critical Carlisle heads into Mid Penn play with a 2-1 record if a playoff push is expected. Kickoff is Friday at 7pm.
