Lancaster Catholic sits atop the latest L-L League girls' basketball power poll.

LANCASTER - It's the penultimate L-L League girls' basketball power poll.

Will check back with one final power poll following the league playoffs, which get started Tuesday, February 12.

Here's this week's list ...

1. Lancaster Catholic (15-0, 21-0) - Survived a pesky, pesky Eastern York team on Saturday night to remain undefeated, and can polish off a perfect 22-0 regular-season run with a win Tuesday at Lancaster Mennonite. Then the Crusaders will try and defend two titles: L-L League and District 3 AAA. And despite a perfect record, Lancaster Catholic likely will not be the No. 1 seed in its district bracket.

2. Manheim Township (15-0, 18-2) - Blue Streaks need a win Tuesday vs. Warwick to make it - gulp - three undefeated runs through Section 1 in a row. That's mighty impressive.

3. Lampeter-Strasburg (14-1, 19-1) - Pioneers just keep humming right along, having long since forgotten about that crossover loss at Lancaster Catholic.

4. Ephrata (12-3, 16-5) - Gut-check win at Cocalico on Friday forced a tie for first place in Section 2 with the Eagles. Mounts have the pieces to make a postseason run. And keep your Friday night open - just in case.

5. Cocalico (12-3, 16-4) - Eagles had their 7-game win streak snapped when Ephrata came into Denver and sucker-punched Cocalico on its own court, setting up a tie. Eagles need a win at Solanco - which won the previous three Section 2 titles - to stay alive, and maybe see Ephrata again later in the week.

5. Hempfield (11-4, 16-5) - Betcha didn't know the Black Knights have won nine of 10. They'll go into the league playoffs on a roll - and they'll need it; Lancaster Catholic will be waiting in the quarterfinals.

HONORABLE MENTION: Annville-Cleona (10-5, 13-8), Elco (10-5, 13-8), Lebanon Catholic (6-9, 11-10), Northern Lebanon (11-4, 14-7), Solanco (10-5, 13-8).
