LANCASTER - Last Friday night, the L-L League welcomed yet another member to the 1,000-point club.
Northern Lebanon junior sharpshooter Sam Light joined the club, when he scored 26 points in a 79-51 Section 3 setback at Donegal.
Light has put together outstanding back-to-back seasons.
In his sophomore season last winter, he won the L-L League scoring derby, averaging 21.4 points per game.
Light picked up where he left off this season; he successfully defended his scoring crown, averaging a hefty 23.8 points - plus sinking 55 3-pointers in Northern Lebanon's 22 regular-season games.
Light has been particularly hot over the second half of the regular season; in 11 games since January 7, he's averaging 27.4 points with 33 treys.
It looks like Northern Lebanon will make the District 3 AAA playoffs, so Light will have at least one more game to add to his total of 1,028 points.
